Detoxification or detox is a process to get rid of toxic substances from the body. Diets that claim to reach the full detox in a few days have been around for decades and some of its methods exist. Be sure to include fruit and/or vegetable juices into this fast to ensure your body gets the right nutrients. If your goal is to lose weight, then you have to change your eating habits when you have finished this fast, because otherwise, your weight will come back to normal.
